Our Story

I created Practicing Wellness because I saw a need that wasn’t being met. After a decade of practicing law at a big firm in New York City, the long hours and relentless demands of work began to take a toll. At the same time, I was navigating challenges in my personal life that made it very difficult to balance my personal and professional goals. I found myself overwhelmed, exhausted, and burnt out.

Despite outward success, I struggled with stress and anxiety and felt completely disconnected from the things that brought me joy. My health, relationships, and overall happiness were suffering and I realized something needed to change.

I decided to step back and reevaluate my entire approach to work and life. I began carving out time in my daily life for things that filled my cup, which in turn made me more energized and focused. I began exercising every day and practicing yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Having these outlets generated a sense of calm and balance and allowed me to approach my work with a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. Suddenly, I was able to show up in my professional life with more focus, energy, and a powerful sense of alignment.

This transformation inspired me to start Practicing Wellness. I know firsthand how easy it is to sacrifice your wellbeing for the demands of work, but I also know there is a better and more sustainable way to achieve success.

The goal of Practicing Wellness is to help attorneys cultivate personal wellbeing and build sustainable, fulfilling careers. I want to empower others to see that the path to success in the legal profession does not require endless stress and sacrifice - when you intentionally design a life that energizes and nourishes you, your focus, productivity and success will naturally follow.
